Who we are
This website is run by Steve Whitehouse, trading as White Star Roofing & General Building, 12 Fermoy, Frome, Somerset BA11 2EP. Contact: steve@white-star.uk or 01373 466194.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we receive the details you type in: your name, phone number, email address, postcode or town, the type of job and your message. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie this site sets is a sign-in cookie for our own staff area.
Why we use it
Only to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out and invoice the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running the business.
Who sees it
Steve and anyone who helps run White Star. Your details are stored with our web hosting provider and sent to our email inbox. We never sell or share your details for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If we do work for you, records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes (normally six years).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by contacting us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
